Het Mooiste was a walking tour responded to the fading monuments in the Charlois (Rotterdam) area: Maastunnel, Katendrecht Castle Foundations, and Stichting Historisch Charlois Museum. This performance tour looked at how local history changes over time and how the ‘outsider’ could interact and relate to this cultural fabric in the contemporary moment. The tour became a procession to celebrate the area with a combined audience of residents, local artists, and visitors that came from all over The Netherlands to be part of the event. The life of Het Mooiste Walking Tour lives on in the Het Mooiste Community Newspaper that included fashion reviews, recipes, gardening tips, local historical news, and short stories.
